Whatever the members bring in: citrus, pears, bananas, coconut and something in season. Skip or pause any week.
Highgate Orchard Co-operative was formed in 2019 by eleven growers who were tired of selling to whichever truck came by. Today thirty-eight member farms, most of them under five acres, bring their fruit to the packhouse in Highgate.
We weigh what each member brings, grade it, and pack it for households, juice bars, guest houses and supermarkets. Members are paid every second Friday for what sold.
Lorna Campbell manages the co-op; Delroy runs the packhouse, Tamika answers the phone and the orders, and Clive, Andrea and Lennox drive the north coast and Kingston runs.

Green skin, so much juice. The bag of 25 lasts us the week.
Tastes of citrus blossom. Thick and dark. The best honey I have bought in years.
